What happens to your photos after the event
An uploaded photo is processed, waits in your review queue, becomes visible once you approve it, is matched to the guests who appear in it, and stays reachable until the gallery period ends — measured from the day of your event.
The lifecycle
- Upload. A guest adds photos from their camera roll through the browser.
- Processing. Photos appear after they have been uploaded and processed, not while the event is still running.
- Your review. You review what guests upload and decide what appears before anyone else sees it.
- Matching. Guests who submitted a selfie are matched against the approved photos.
- Galleries. Every guest opens a gallery of just the photos they are in, so nobody has to scroll the whole album to find themselves.
- Expiry. Access ends at the close of the gallery period — 30 days after your event on the free package, 90 days on the paid ones.
What to do before expiry
Download what you want to keep. A gallery is convenience, not archival storage, and you should not rely on any platform as the only copy of something you cannot lose.
If something is wrong
Face matching is not perfect. It can miss a guest, and it can occasionally return someone else’s photo inside the right gallery. Tell the host, who can remove any photo, or raise a support request if it concerns your own face data.
