About RSVPIX
RSVPix is an Australian-built platform that collects the photos guests take at an event and gives each guest a gallery of just the ones they are in. It is new, it is in beta, and it runs on AWS in Sydney.
Why this exists
Somebody at every event ends up with three thousand photos and no way to give anyone theirs. The photos get dumped into a shared album, everybody scrolls for four minutes looking for themselves, and most people give up. Do nothing and the photos your guests took stay on their phones.
Every guest opens a gallery of just the photos they are in, so nobody has to scroll the whole album to find themselves.
Where we are up to
RSVPix is new. We are in beta and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. We would rather have a small number of events go well than a large number go badly, so we are deliberately working with a handful of hosts and photographers first.
Things we will not do
Writing these down publicly makes them harder to quietly abandon.
- We will not publish testimonials we did not receive, or ratings from reviews that do not exist.
- We will not use your event photos to advertise RSVPix unless you have separately said we can, in writing, after the event.
- We will not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use a guest’s face data for anything other than finding that guest in that one event.
- We will not describe RSVPix as a security or identification tool. It exists to give people their own photos.
- We will not quote an accuracy percentage at you. Everyone in this category quotes one and none of them mean much. Run a real event free and judge it on your own photos.
Where things run
RSVPix runs on Amazon Web Services in the ap-southeast-2 (Sydney) region. Prices are in Australian dollars. Every gallery opens only after signing in, and that sign-in is locked to your event. A guest cannot reach another event’s photos, and neither can anyone outside yours.
Who we are
A very small team. Small enough that if you email us, the person who built the thing is the one who answers. That is a genuine advantage right now and it is also the reason we are not taking on everyone at once.
